Lock screen media player controls (mpris) gone with 3.1.0

Hi,
with latest developer update I got no more media controls at the lock screen. Also other apps (smart watch) can no longer use mpris. I'm using the official jolla-mediaplayer.
The logs from MprisManager seem to indicate no available service: bool MprisManager::playPause() const None service available/selected
But the one app using MprisManager is the only one producing journal entries about this. So I'm stuck here.
Please help solving this bug.

I just discovered that my media controls are working again. So I did some more analysis of the error: If started from the cover action "shuffle and play" the media controls do not appear. If I do the same in app ,everything works.
