"Slash" symbol triggers keyboard issue [not relevant]

Ahoj Sailors,

I have a rather strange keyboard behaviour: whenever I type the slash symbol ( "/" ), the virtual keyboard crashes and disappears. If I open another document, text input field, browser tab - it reappears and works as expected (as long as I don't type a slash again). Also, if I click on the space behind a written slash, the same thing happens. Any ideas, why that happens and what I can do against it?

Cheers

Cannot reproduce, both in Browser and Messaging app, with various keyboard layouts.

I didn't think that this is a global behaviour as there would be much more people asking the same question. Meanwhile I checked Journalctl which says that "signal 11" cannot be sent to both invoker and systemd (particularly the maliit-server), terminating that application.

kill -l 11 says it's a "segmentation violation" (kind of "general protection fault" if you're more into MS Windows terms of things). Do you have any keyboard related patches active?

Not active, no. Installed - yes.

Alright, solved - it looks like the maliit (keyboard) service was slightly corrupted due to the last OS update with a third-party keyboard enabled. I could completely resolve that matter uninstalling and then reinstalling one of the qwert*-style keyboards, which seems to have restored the original memory ranges for each letter/symbol.

Thanks, TJC.
