Hello,

In some websites (e.g. mobile version of the Office365 webmail), the address bar from the Jolla browser doesn't ever hide. This is an issue because the menus (email, calendar, tasks, ...) are located at the bottom of the interface.

This basically means that the website is not usable in the Jolla Browser.

A solution would be to implement the possibility to manually force the hide/show of the address bar with a gesture.

Regards.

Guillaume

This is a brilliant idea! Another irritating bug in the native browser is that the address bar sometimes doesn't show at all until some intrusive JavaScript libraries have fully done their work. This can take minutes ...

There are some more pages that I don't remember, that are unusable because of the adress bar. The idea of an gesture that makes the bar invisible is good

Did some {German} one ever tried to configure a FRITZ box?

Same s..t hapoens there and one is not able to press ok or cancel.

And I do not think it is a brilliant idea but would be another workaround implementation. The gesture to hide is flicking up...

@Guillame L. thanks for bringing this up
as I do not expect something to hapoen on that front I did not dare to "ask a question"

@peterleinchen Thanks. Now I remember. The ui of the Fritzbox is one of the annoying examples

I was thinking either a gesture or a timer to automatically hide the address bar after a given time of inactivity by the user.

These toolbar not hiding issues are really unfortunate. In same cases this can workaround by bringing up the overlay by tapping url and dismiss the overlay (also really annoying workaround). After this hiding of the toolbar might work.

This at least helps with XA2 device and https://book.lecab.fr/portal/#/account/select-type/

Due to the same issue, the website https://book.lecab.fr/portal/#/account/select-type/ is unsable on the native browser.

There are some terms and conditions that the visitor has to accept after connection, and the "Accept" button is stuck behind the address bar of the browser.
