Apps for the Fediverse
Does anyone fancy creating an app for the Federated Universe ("Fediverse")? The Fediverse nowadays offers nice federated alternatives replacing Twitter (Mastodon), Instagram (Pixelfed). There is also Write.as and Read.as for Micro- and Macroblogging and the allmighty Hubzilla offering a network channel infrastructure that can be used for anything. The list goes on...
Since the federated social web and SailfishOS are somehow brothers in spirit in their independence from the big monopolies, it would be great to have some native integration. Mastodon already has a SF app although it needs some care. What about the others?
edit: Looking to competitors I see that Purism has released a Fediverse app called Librem.social (for Android and later for PureOS). It's effectively a Mastodon client.
I'm using Fedilab from F-Droid at the moment, but I would love to use a native app instead. I don't think that I could contribute to development, but I would gladly help out with testing early/prototype versions. I am quite comfortable installing rpms (e.g. from GitLab CI), and this might give me the incentive to set up a development environment so I could do my own builds.

objectifnul ( 2019-09-29 20:05:05 +0200 )edita native app would be nice. for hubzilla there is an android app called "nomad", afaik a fork of dandelion for diaspora. unluckily it doesn't work correctly. so a native app that works and has notifications would be great!

@objectifnul With Tooter I can't get past the Login prompt, seems to be a bug. It's also not been updated in a while and looks a bit abandoned.
