multiple dependency errors Xperia X
Because of repeated incidents related with the "ssu syndrome", I finally resigned myself to updating my Xperia X from 2.2.0.29 "Mouhijoki" (the most satisfactory release so far) to 3.2.0.12 "Torronsuo" to get rid of the anti-Mouhijoki ostracism.
Among many, one of the most irritating issues with Torronsuo is once again the lack of support of Xperia X, resulting in multiple dependency errors when installing apps (the required repositories appear to be largely outdated, see screenshot).
By the way, it's difficult to understand why a bluetooth utility is a problem when installing FileCase, for example...
Any workaround?
did you try pkcon refresh ? maybe followed by pkcon update ? On my Xperia X 3.2.0.12 works well but I am not a power user.

Typing
devel-su pkcon refresh
anddevel-su pkcon update
are a must after updating the OS.With regard to Filecase (CepiPerez), the app is not maintained. Sadly, Cepi didn't leave anything on his github for us to use. It is possible that there is a dependency written into the .spec file preventing the specific update.

For now, I'm still re-using my old beloved Jolla phone, as the Torronsuo UX is currently not satisfying at all with Xperia X (poor hardware/middleware support, many essential patches still not working).

pkcon refresh
is always executed bypost_sfos-upgrade
, but why should an applications update (perpkcon update
) be done again (which is implicitly part ofversion --dup
, if the OpenRepos repos are not explicitly disabled)? If you have an idea for an enhancement, feel free to suggest it in an issue at Github.
