Just did a fresh install of Torronsuo. When trying to set up gmail account, after i enter the password I get a message saying copy the link to your gmail app, then cannot copy or proceed.

same problem here. i also get a token i can't copy. also no button to proceed to put it into some other space... i realised that my calendar didn't sync. so i decided to erase the account and reinstall it like it. no i have no calendar... would be lovely to have this working again, cause at my work i'm sadly relying on the crewcalendar on google.... thx in advance for looking into this...

Same here with Xperia X. Such a bummer :(

got mail from jolla zendesk: they know about the problem but couldn't help until next update. they said hopefully before xmas...

honestly, i'm disapointed. it was working and i need the calendar in my daily worklife. last update i had to make mobile data run by the help of useres here, know stuff that used to work isn't working anymore and i'm left to hope someone of the useres community could help me fix it to use my phone like intended.... why? as a customer i don't feel taken serious.....

would be lovely if they at least could provide a workaround...

Seems something changed on the service provider side that caused the regression.

Could you try to reproduce again, and comment here what was the outcome? We had internal reports also, but currently nobody seems to be able reproduce the issue any more.

I had the same issue and wasn't able to setup a google account. Failed several times and just out of luck I tried it once on my mobile network instead of my home wifi and this worked. Maybe Google is handling the authentication differently if you connect over a WIFI or mobile network?

This! Thank you. Switching to mobile network made it work for me as well.

Unfortunately there is no change over here. This is using a brand new Xperia XA2 with the mobile network in the Netherlands.

The problem with signing in to Google accounts was fixed in Sailfish OS release 3.2.1.20. It became available for all users on Dec 18th, 2019.

Ok. THIS is the answer. I had the issue testing an Xperia X with 2.2.1

If you can reproduce could you try signing to Google with the Browser to see if that works? We recently moved Dropbox sign-in to happen using Browser since it has more up-to-date browser engine, we could potentially do the same for Google sign-in.

With my Xperia X, I was able to login to gmail.com with native browser

but now, for some reason, I could make the account setup working. gmail sync works
