As the new Sailfish version is due to come out, I have following question - Is it safe to upgrade to new OS version with custom keyboard?

*I have this custom Estonian layout keyboard with arrows installed currently: http://talk.maemo.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=34246&d=1388594029

I have not tried, but I would definitely recommend to backup the custom keyboard files before upgrading....

Just read that there are keyboard-related changes, so I strongly assume that you changes will be overwritten: https://together.jolla.com/question/21786/release-notes-software-version-1038-naamankajarvi/ Anyway, you might need/want to merge your changes with their changes after upgrade.

Just updated, too. My custom keyboards (English, German) have been overwritten (as expected).

When you customize original files - that is right. Better is make new files for custom keyboards. :)

Sure, I have been aware of that :) not a big deal to copy them from the backup, though.
