Problem: Switching between different tab is difficult because it always needs the peek-gesture, adress-page, tab and then select. Same applies to closing tabs.

Sugestions: For Tab-Change: The flip-gesture seems to be unused when browsing, it could be used to flip between different open tabs. (I know, tabs aren't real tabs right now, but that is already covered in a different thread).

For Tab-Close: A tab could be closed by pressing the 'back-button' (after peeking in the bottom-menu). A different function on that place, when '<-' is greyed out would save some flicks (It could became an 'X'). As long as the tab has some steps back in the history left, it will go back, and when the history is empty the tab will be closed on next press. A 'long' press on '<-' should close the tab without needing to step back.

In generell, a dedicated 'back'-gesture would be nice. I can imagine a 'revert'-swipe like half a circle, but others may have better ideas.

+1 for back to close the tab if no other history left

imho it does not hurt to display an X (for close tab) on the "forward-arrow-position" (of course only in case there is no "forward-history")

on BB10 (and some android browsers IIRC) when a new tab is opened either via long click or target="_blank" the back button closes the new tab

+1 That's a good idea. Long press for close, short for back.

Idea for quick tab changing: tap and drag left or right from the tabs icon to change tab.

This would fit nicely with closing tab with a long press of the tabs icon.
