[Improvement] Display a part of the top menu when tapping on home or lock screen
Current situation in 3.2.1.20 (Nuuksio):
- If I tap a free spot anywhere on the home screen, the topmost row of the app grid briefly appears, letting me start my most used apps very conveniently.
- If I tap the top edge of the home screen (where clock, battery and network indicators are), the 2 topmost rows of the top menu briefly appear, letting me e.g. switch ambiences.
Improvements:
- If I tap a free spot anywhere on the home screen, not only a part of the app grid should briefly appear, but also a part of the top menu at the same time.
- The displayed number of app grid rows and top menu rows should be made individually configurable. A value range between 0 (nothing displayed) and 3 is probably most useful.
- The row order in the top menu should also be made individually configurable, so that the elements most important to each user also appear when tapping as described.
- On the lock screen, tapping any free spot should briefly bring up just the top menu as described.
Let me guess: You are - like me - a long time user of KDE (later Plasma)? ;)
Tanghus ( 2020-01-11 04:00:13 +0200 )editI like the idea of being able to set 0 and turn the function off. I never use it. The time the first row in the app grid appear is too short for me to do anything. I would rather have the option of having the first 1 or 2 rows of the app grid constantly showing on the home screen (leaving less space for minimized open apps, but it should work anyways, especially on the new Xperia 10).

Pohli ( 2020-01-11 16:33:33 +0200 )editYes I aggree it should be shows longer and also the upper menu should be show. The qick bar is not this tah we looking for. Maybe can annybody make a patch as temporarry solution.
