hi, everybody.

though i don't use my xperia x much, i do try to keep its sfos up-to-date. and i recently tried to upgrade, as i'd done many times before, only this time i got a mess: when i start the phone, it does the usual "oh no you're unlocked and unsafe" screen, followed by the regular white sony screen. then the screen flashes black-white-black several times, a few seconds each, then it goes black and the little pink (!) led up top fades off and on and off, etc., and i am as far as i'm getting.

anybody know a non-reflash way out of this?

thanks in advance.

Well, you could try to boot your Xperia X using recovery mode as described here https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002996893-Xperia-X-devices-How-to-use-the-Recovery-Mode
