So I re-installed 3.0.7 on my debian, as I could not find a sailfishos template from the list of projects. That however didnt resolve the problem.

I have the community (non-sfos sdk) QtCreator installed as well. Could it be they conflict?

Oh, and how do I get my sfos app template back? Help!

Solved thanks to @attah : In my (non-default) installation, i did not include "Examples", as well as "Documentation". Seems that the templates are somehow bundled into these two packages; so after re-adding the packages from the SDKMaintenanceTool, bam they were back.

So to reproduce: - start from a clean install of SFOS - in the package selection page, unselect examples and documentation - after installation succeeds, try to create a new sfos application

Current result: - "Application" category is missing from the "New project" window template list

Expected resutl: - "Application" category is available in the "New project" window template list

@Jolla, please fix this!

If you have a more closer look at the "Examples" section in the installer, you will notice that it contains "Sailfish Silica Project Templates", which can be selected individually. So if you don't want other documentation and/or other examples, you can still have the templates by unselecting the others but leaving the templates selected.

This is NOT confusing at all, my compliments.
