I like new rounded corners but it has some issues. When cover corner is white or bright and backgroud is dark it's possible to see gradient or pixels. It's easy to notice that with Gallery app cover. On Calendar app or Notes app covers it's not visible.

For sure it's visible on Jolla 1 and Jolla C.

So it looks like we are back to the 2014 https://together.jolla.com/question/34012/bug-rounded-cover-corners/

Yup, seems quite ugly. They aren't that visible at least on my XA2.

I can't detect this even with my glasses on, perhaps I need to go back to my optometrist !! ;)

@Edz I can detect it without glasses but it's not visible always, only in some cases. Download my screenshot and open it, then compare bottom right corner of Gallery app with corners from other apps.

@Edz It's easier to detect it on this screenshot. Look at the bottom corners of Browser cover.

agreed, but we don't view our devices by screenshots, nonetheless, I can now see it with stronger glasses 8-)

sure, I'm fast approaching 50 yrs old, was born boss eyed and had several ops to correct various problems, but only in recent years has my eyesight become noticeably worse. I need to go back to my optometrist for sure, sooner or later I will look like Mr Magoo if I don't.

But the weirdest thing for me is that they have experience with rounded corners from 2014 and they did that again

Yes, I noticed the question had been posed before. perhaps a change of dev staff or a change of heart brought it back. Perhaps a change of the radius applied might make it less noticeable.

It looks like thay want to make rounded corners everywhere. They started from notifications and now applied to covers.

@atlochowski I think these changes are to better match the rounded screen models such as xa2 plus and 10.

@xbt123ufo Ok. But we need better implementation.

anybody know the location of the QML files for switcher covers?
If it's really that obvious a patch can ease the wait until a reimplementation.

@rozgwi probably here https://together.jolla.com/question/34012/bug-rounded-cover-corners/?answer=46002#post-id-46002

So /usr/share/lipstick-jolla-home-qt5/switcher/SwitcherItem.qml

@atlochowski - this is not the right file and the post you link is from 2014, I'm pretty sure things have changed since then.

I am currently playing with that file and have made changes to 'radius' but I see no difference, even with 3 x magnifying specs on!, no matter what radius size is changed to, I see no change in the cover. I firmly believe this is not the right file to be editing for this problem.

My initial place to look was in /usr/lib/qt5/qml/Sailfish/Silicawhere many components of 'Cover' are found, but nothing (that I can see) that pertains to the rectangular nature of the covers or their radius.

Also, with regard to your link/file, there are at least 4 references of radius: windowPixmap.radius in that file, I've edited all that I can find and still I see no change, leading me to be quite sure this is not the place/file to be looking/editing :(
