Oh boy, I fcked up: I deleted Google Play Services (G.P.S.), because whenever I tried to update it, the update failed with the message that a "conflicting package existed", so I thought I could just delete G.P.S., but I should never have done that! After the deletion all Android apps stopped working and reinstalling G.P.S. has not solved the issue: I can start an Android app, but after a few seconds it gets minimized and so I can't use it. Reinstalling the apps does not help either, rebooting does not help, clearing cache and data does not help. I should appreciate it greatly if anybody here might have any suggestions on how to get me out of my predicament!

Phew! I got it to work again by removing Google Play Services and then reinstalling MicroG and then follow the instructions in https://together.jolla.com/question/209300/how-to-microg-in-sfos-31/. After that I also had to reinstall all the Android apps. Just removing the cache and the data wasn't enough.

Try reinstalling the Alien Dalvik (Android App Support) package.

Have you got "aliendalvik-control" installed in your device. If yes, do update it to the latest version first.

Alas, it does not really solve the problem. Aliendalvik Control was already the latest version, but I reinstalled and after that it seems that at least I was able to reinstall the MobilePay app and it seems to be working now. But other apps. like Waze, or the DRTV app show black displays, sometimes they stay maximzed, sometimes they minimize. It really seems to be screwed. ;-(

The conflicting package that G.P.S. was complaining about must have been MicroG? Should I simply delete G.P.S. forever and then just use MicroG? In other words, was it wrong to have installed both G.P.S. and MicroG at the same time?

With MIcroG, you must not update Google Play services! MicroG replaces the Google Play services. I did the mistake once and ended up with a factory reset

@AkiBerlin, Ahh yes, I thought so. But then I shouldn't install Google Play Services in the first place?
