Since I updated my Xperia 10 to 3.3.0 it doesn't connect to my VPN at all any more.

In the top menu, I just see it blinking quickly between VPN on and off. Switching it off from there doesn't even work any more. And then going to the VNC settings, I see that it alternates between "Idle", "Connecting..." and "Problem with connection", more than once per second. At least switching it off from there works.

With 3.2 I didn't have this problem. I also tried to delete the related account and set it up again, but that's didn't change anything. Is there any way to get this fixed or at least more info?

At least you should be more verbous...
which vpn type do you use?
configuration specifics? (no, not the credentials ;)

The release notes do not note any bigger change.

Same issue now with NordVPN... which requires a config file for each location. First I was thinking that something has changed at the VPN provider but apparently not :-(

[Edit] I do appologize but I got it working (at least in my case) by editing the VPN location settings and in „Advanced” I checked the „Preventing caching credentials” at the very bottom of OpenVPN service!

I have the same issue on my Xperia X. I think there is a bug in the implementation. I downloaded Securefish from openrepositories and it works, but only for IVP4 connections over wifi (my carrier won't allow IVP4 over mobile data and Securefish doesnt offer IVP6 support). Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

peterleinchen: I don't know the VPN type (and it's not a public VPN), but it just uses server name, login and password. Does that help with a suggestion on how to debug the issue?

Marti Masa K: on my phone it makes no difference if I let it cache the login info or not.

For me it works with my own openvpn. Imported the .ovpn file with included credentials some version ago, but this should not make a difference. So it seems not to be a general problem of implementation, but may be a special case with your vpn provider, config or isp.
