Hello,

I have added a nextcloud account and contacts and calendar sync is working. I can even share (upload) pictures with the nextcloud (to the Photos folder). But there is no nextcloud section in the gallery. No pictures are synchronized from the nextcloud to the phone.

How can I debug this?

Should this work with nextcloud running in a subfolder (https:/my.server.tld/nextcloud) ?

Sailfish 3.3.0.16 on Sony 10.

Edit1

What I tried so far: 1) Creating the account with the following settings:

  • Server address: https://example.com
  • WebDAV Path: /nextcloud/remote.php/webdav/
  • Addressbook path: [empty]
  • Calendar path: [empty]

With this calendar and contact sync works. Sharing of pictures to Photos works, too. But there's no Nextcloud section in the gallery.

2) Creating the account with the following settings:

Account creation failed with "server reply had no user details"

3) Creating the account with the following settings:

Account creation failed with "server reply had no user details"

4) Creating the account with the following settings:

With this calendar and contact sync works. Sharing of pictures to Photos did not work. And there's no Nextcloud section in the gallery.

And removing the GhostCloud app didn't help either. On an other phone (Jolla1, 3.3.0.16) I have the same situation and there the GhostCloud app was never installed.

I have the same issue. Contacts and calendar work, but in the gallery the folder doesn't show up.

I had the same problem - it was based on the Ghostcloud App. So if you have Ghostcloud on your phone - delete it, restart phone and it should work.

@samule is your nextcloud running in a subfolder (e.g. my.domain.com/nextcloud) or at the root (e.g. nextcloud.example.com/)?

It runs on root folder/URI

It seems this is one of the features that depend on Nextcloud running in the root location of the webserver (instead of the /nextcloud subdirectore).

Not sure but the webserver can forward the location via ./.well-known I think:

here is my nginx rule, just change the path:

rewrite ^/.well-known/carddav  $scheme://$host/remote.php/dav/ permanent;

rewrite ^/.well-known/caldav   $scheme://$host/remote.php/dav/ permanent;

It was the same for me.

First thing to ensure that you have a folder "/Photos" in your account. This is the only folder that will by accessed. Second thing for me was that I had several GB of pictures in that folder which didn't show up. So I renamed my folder from '/Photos' to something else, e.g. '/Pictures' and created a new Folder with the name '/Photos'. After adding a few pictures to this new folder that folder finally showed up in gallery.

Actually, I'm not quite sure if I had to delete and recreate my Nextcloud account on the phone. So this may be the third step you may try.
