Hello sailors,

want just to share my experience with the jolla phone.
The device worked well during 4 years, then put it away in cupboard, change with something new the xperia xa2+.
For a couple of month i got a sony mp3 player.
Great sound, small, compact, smart.
But damned! it sucks the battery in 1 or 2 days!!
Won 1 days more with tricks to spare battery.

I love hearing music, sometimes be alone without doing else than hearing music. Disconnected with the other thing from the life-train. thing that is rare last few months
I don't like the 2 in one, having call by hearing, disturbed with sms or i don't know what when i've my pause.
And the last few days i curse every 5 days that the battery of the sony are completely down.
Always think to charge it, or hear music with charging cable. not mobile
A new dependency appeared, a cut in freedom. a thing insignificant. but really being chained to this thing. not be able to hear music when i want where i want.

Shortly i remembered that i had a phone the jp1 which hold the battery in 5 or 7 days.
I used to hear a lot music with it for a while.
I put it out of it cupboard, charged it. Discovered that with the same headset i have the same sound
Start quasar mx, composed my list, adjust the filter and sound effects (for info on jp1 quasar mx support the player commands per bluetooth).
And hear. Some days later, it still on, hear again. Surprised that battery hold 9 days. More than 7days (before).
Maybe because less apps, less used with other things like gps, weather, phone, sms, less android app in background. no sim card. 5 days more than the one with android boosted with all tricks to spare the battery.

If i have my pause for me with me and music, don't have to think every time to charge the battery again.
For sure there is a difference between a device dedicated for music, and an old good phone.
I'm not really a melomaniac. But just a music lover, a fan of little time with myself.
Thus sound side, difference between a good mp3 player, and an old good phone is none.
But a device which has a stable bluetooth connection with acceptable time lag, a good battery, and standard and proper audio-jack & interface, with a practicable app, save my day.

I love my jp1 again, and give you a tipp: don't refurbish yours it has still a lots of quality. And it is durable.

Thank you jolla to maintain the support of it.

Cheers:-)

better tip: use j1 alltogether if it still works instead to buy new phones just because they are new.

Still using 2 x Jolla1 devices with pleasure while watching this forum fill up with Sailfish-X/Sony problems.

I use default mediaplayer if required.

@kaktux i believe you, but for me with my usage i was often confronted to a oomk process, and some . Intern memory wasn't not enough too... still hold it now for hearing music :-)
