How to debug cellular connection problems to mobile network
Trying to make a phone call on my Jolla Mobile Phone, it sometimes states "Emergency calls only" or that no network is available. That happens in contrast to "Settings > Cellular network" showing a mobile network and the 4G in the upper right corner showing that I am connected, plus I also have enough credit.
Going to Airplane mode does not fix this. Usually one or two reboots help. However this is obviously cumbersome as I cannot realize that people cannot call me.
I'd like to know how to provide debug information the next time I run into this problem, as I could not find an existing thread here.
Running latest Sailfish OS 3.3.0.16.
I recall similar situations with Jolla1.
potski ( 2020-06-01 21:14:11 +0200 )editMe, too. Sometimes I can recognise it by the missing Mobile data icon although Mobile data is activated. It mostly happens when connected to a car system per bluetooth. I'm on SFOS 3.0.1.11.
Pohli ( 2020-06-01 23:02:51 +0200 )editThe same problem hit me exactly in the same way two days ago on my xa2. Otherwise i often get problems in reconnecting to network on exiting flight mode. Sometimes restarting ofono from terminal will do, Others it will take a full reboot.
