From time to time I cannot wake up the xperia 10 with the fingerprint sensor (altough it vibrates when touched) and the display stays in its darkest state (not black though), as described in this post

Reason is failing sensors as also discussed in the same post, see answer by spiiroin

Having had this problem now from time to time I see a correlation with missed calls. Typically (but not always) the problem occurs after I missed a call when the phone was riding with me on the bicyle. I know, it is strange circumstances but there might also be some link to this problem

Maybe this gives a clue to solving this problem ...

EDIT: I have to correct myself. Apparently the missed and cycling was just a coincidence - so neither a true correlation and definitely not the cause for the sensor failure.

The problem more and more reminds me on the light sensor failure

The failure affects the light sensor, the proximity sensor and the g-sensor all together

You don't often encounter this problem. Have you tried resetting all phone parameters to factory settings? Very often, problems are caused by third-party applications.

My Xperia m10 is a twin of my XA2 - application-wise, I mean. Both are pretty clean and newly set-up. The problem only occurs with the Xperia 10. Therefore I suspect the problem is tiesd to the handling of sensor signals by the Xperia 10 - which appears to be different from the XA2
