APKPure and WhatsApp problems
I have an Xperia X running Sailfish 3.3.016
APK Pure
Recently I have been unable to download or update Android apps using APKPure. I can open the APKPure and see what apps have updates available but the downloads always fail.
I became unable to send messages but could still receive messages. I ended up uninstalling the app. I was able to reinstall it but the sign in process fails after I enter my name. I keep getting "Unable to connect. Please try again". I click the "Check Status" link and get the message "WhatsApp service is working normally".
Also during the setup process the app is able to download all of my old messages, well at least that process seems to work but as I cannot complete the login process I never get to see if the messages have been downloaded correctly.
It seems that for both apps the app becomes unable to connect to the relevant server as if the data connection is being disconnected.
Has anyone got any ideas on how I might fix this problem.
One last thing.
For apps that are not in the Android stores (APKPure, Store, Aptiode etc) I side load these apps from an Android tablet. Quite often I am unable to install the APK package and get a parse error. Are there any fixes for this?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Remove Whatsapp and reinstall from genuine Whatsapp download page only;

I have no experience with APK Pure.

the X has only Android 4.4 compatibility (or was/is it 4.1 or whatever, pretty outdated)!
