[bug] Phone App: Sending USSD via 'Call contact' fails [released]
Unable to send USSD codes to service provider by tapping on the contact name from within Phone
.
To reproduce the error:
Prerequisite: at least one contact with USSD code as number. (number format: *?#) Usually the service provider has this saved in the SIM card, for services like prepaid balance check etc.
Launch: Phone App > Navigate to: 'Call contact' (via pull-menu) > Select the contact to call (by tapping on the contact name) > Result: "Invalid phone number"
However, please note this kind of service requests can be made by entering the code directly to dial pad or by selecting the contact from People
.
Just pointing out what I saw; If this is not an error and instead an expected behaviour, kindly close the thread. Thanks
changing it to USSD, guess that is what you mean, gsm-codes to divert and stuff... DTMF is dual-tone multi-frequency signaling and is needed to navigate your voicemail or dial-centers
