Lock-screen feels underused
Am I the only one who thinks that the main screen that the lock-screen is a bit useless. It only shows you the time, battery and Wi-Fi. Yes, it does show notifications but those are not accessible. I need to swipe and check what the notifications are. It would be nice if i could get more information on the notification (after all there is all this unused space) or swipe the notification on the main screen and have faster access to it.
The lock-screen is meant to be clear decks, as you should protect your data or 'better' the data you have about others (seems no one cares about their data any more but give away their friend's like candy on halloween) you should have your device locked; however, there is a valid point in it feeling odd to not being able to pull notifications sideways to activate them if you are used to other OSs. It is meant basically to be a screen-shield, clean, battened down, clear decks.

vicentpavel ( 2014-02-13 11:47:32 +0200 )editI'd like to have more information on the lock screen, e.g. battery level, network strength. I find it strange sending/receiving data is there but all other icons only peekable.
Actually I'd like to have all the icons on the lock screen.
vasavr ( 2014-02-13 11:48:20 +0200 )editChemist, you are absolutely correct. But even if there is no additional information on the lock screen, you can still swipe up and see the notifications in more detail.
AGNel ( 2014-02-13 12:05:58 +0200 )editYes you can. However one of the most common reasons for doubble taping or pressing the power button is to check battery status. Having to peek after doing this is silly and annoying. I would also like audio controls on this screen when the media player is in use.
