libconfig library not found

Why do you add answer when you guess something? When you don't know the answer add it as comment below the question.

I'm not guessing. Perhaps you should learn about common English idioms. I know the library isn't in the repository (yes, I've checked), and it isn't the kind of library that I would expect to be there. As a consequence, anyone wanting to use it need to compile it themselves (though there's more than one way to link it in, but statical linking seems the most logical in this case, and therefore that's what I thought I'd suggest).
