How can I clear the data of an android application like on an native android device from options menu?

I am having problems with one android application and I would like to see whether it can be fixed by starting over.

I have not found any UI for that, we definitely need one! Removing an App does not remove its data: is it a bug or a feature?

With devel-su one can manually remove directory below /data/data/YOUR.APP.DIR.

rm -r /data/data/APP.DIR

Be careful, there is no undo, once deleted is deleted!

Thank you! I was able to get my android application working again.

Having said that. I would argue, that it is a bug that jolla lets obsolete android app data behind. At least, this is not what a native android phone would do.

which command is used to remove directory?

I had to do manual delete after "Despicable Me" game took more than 500 MBytes of space, and left them behind after uninstall.

Super! Had problems with our OTP app providing me wrong passwords, since password seed came from earlier installation. Bet removing the DIR in /data/data/ made the trick!

It's not valid anymore (3.0.0.8 @ Xperia X dual) Now seems to be:

/opt/alien/data/data
