Failed to disable PIN query on startup (PIN code rejected)

It seemsth'eres a bug preenting from disable on-start PIN query. I went to system/PIN code menu, tapped on "Require PIN code" to disable it. PIN entry screen popped up. Correct PIN was provided, but got rejected. "Wrong PIN" message appeared, available attempt count got stuck on 3, consequent failed attempts to provide pin didn't change amount of availble attepmts.

Thanks for reply. I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough. There are two different settings: Lock code and sim PIN code. Your link is about locking device. Problem I experienced is about disabling PIN code on sim card.

Then do not know the answer (do not use a SIM card code)

No worries, I fout the problem out by accident whle trying to solve completly unrelated problem with mobile data. Just anouther litle bug to squash out.
