My jolla run out of battery overnight. Put that in the charger and it run the Z and usb cable screen for hours. Switching it of about 5mins interval. Then it gave finally the Jolla screen but don't continue from there.

Now, by following instructions, I can only get into fastboot mode by: removing battery, pressing volume down, plugging usb cable to pc.

But when I try to install RNDIS driver it always says Remote NDIS, Windows encountered error,... This device cannot start. (Code 10). Also Device manager shows yellow ! mark there in Network adapters - Sailfish.

Tried with another Win7 machine and the same thing. Can't connect via telnet and do any other things.

What is the status of the machine, how to proceed?

Have you installed the correct drivers, you need to select remote ndis compatible device? Did you follow the instructions exactly and did the Windows screenshots look exactly like yours?

Is your jolla failed on version 1.0.2.5 with bootloop before try update to firmware 1.0.3.8 ?

if yes, you can only send mail to care at jolla dot com to obtain service RMA and instructions for send it for repair. if no, you are lucky, you can repair yourself, follow:

my own experience: failed to access Jolla Recovery menu with Windows 7 home premium success access Jolla Recovery v0.1 with OS.X 10.6.8 and driver and steps on the url below without able to fix it (need Jolla Recovery v0.2 for self recovery with menu 5) Try btrfs recovery if your device is in bootloop

The RNDIS installation went (followed instructions) well until the last screenshot. Used this https://together.jolla.com/question/22079/howto-all-pc-users-instructions-to-recover-and-reset-device-thats-stuck/ and then http://developer.toradex.com/knowledge-base/how-to-install-microsoft-rndis-driver-for-windows-7 this for installation of RNDIS. Instead of the last screenshot I got the error on both machines.

I can't access anything else than fastboot. It gives now the jolla logo like "normally".

Ok, one addition, on RNDIS install the second screenshot didn't show "RNDIS Kitl" but instead Sailfish.

And I'm pretty sure that I have already had 1.0.3.8 installed for some time, wasn't that the one that corrected the power drain problem with back cover (tin foil, disabling the daemon). That Firmware I have installed and used.

Sounds like you have 1.0.3.8 as that was the firmware that fixed TOH nfc battery drain. Sounds like you issue lies with the PC ndis install failing. Odd that this has happened on two machines. Have you tried a reboot of the PC and then connecting the Jolla again without trying to install the drivers again?
