It seems that replying to received e-mail using Jolla's Exchange client will create new conversation thread when received and red using the MS Outlook.

Why the Reply sent by Jolla breaks the existing conversation thread on MS Outlook side?

Is it possibly related that different persons as part of the conversation thread are from various countries and they have localized country setups in their Laptops/PCs?

Has anyone else experienced this issue as well?

I haven't checked what happens with Jolla mail client related to this finding....

I was also looking existing post in TJC, but without luck => If some one finds it that would be also good.

Edit: 23.05.2014 Re-opened with new example

AFAIK this is handled by the in reply to email field, that should have been fixed in the 1.0.3.8 release

@VDVsx as promised earlier, I have now reopened this question as I think I have found example for you, where reply from Jolla to ongoing outlook conversation will break the conversation thread and creates the new one as follows.

Is there any information what you need more to study this or can this be explained otherwise.

I have also another similar example where my Jolla reply doesn't create new conversation thread, but shows up in the conversation as CC: not as sent mail what should be the correct result when replying.

I'll try to prepare picture of that behavior as well..

I think this not just Jolla's problem as my third example is the reply from my co-worker with Samsung S4 and exact same thing happened i.e. new conversation thread was created as result of the reply.

Update 26.05.2014 Here is the picture of the OWA discussion thread as you can see it also splits to two conversations after replying with mobile device in this case Jolla and Exchange mail client.

How many messages are in the thread already ? Outlook will create new thread by default after 100 messages, and this can be configurable depending in outlook versions, so are 50. Nothing can be done here, as you say it will happen with other email clients as well.

This one is small thread and the whole conversation is visible in the pictures.

With third example I tried to indicate that similar thing seems to happen with Samsung S4 using their Outlook client/active sync "module".

Should I now discuss with our IT how the Exchange server has been/should be configured to handle the conversations from multiple devices correctly?

Do you think that it has any influence that the original Outlook (HTML based) e-mails are converted as plain text e-mails when replying from Jolla i.e. due to the message format conversion the new reply is not considered as part of the on going conversation?

This is your local outlook client(PC side) creating these threads, you can check in the web client and see how it looks there.

@VDVsx Checked the OWA and it looks the same as local outlook in PC (see picture above) - What are the next steps?
