It would be nice if all lists/screens had the same accelerated scrolling behaviour as the browser. That is, the more/quicker you scroll the faster it scrolls. This would help getting to the top or bottom of long lists faster.

I'd also love to have a scroll momentum behavior similar to lists in Android, i.e. when giving a long web page a scroll momentum and then do the same gesture again (while already scrolling), adding more momentum to the scroll and thus accelerating it. Currently the second gesture is more like decelerating the movement for a moment, just to accelerate again.

So, it is more natural that your proposal should append the existing discussion in the form of another answer. This will prevent, that developers will implement two solutions to the same issue.
szobi ( 2014-03-04 15:22:48 +0300 )editNever mind, I'll add this to the other question, but just for better understanding: I think it's a matter of aspect - IMHO, @Joakim's suggestion is rather an improvement to an existing functionality (improve "scroll a page by dragging it" by making it feel more "natural"), same goes for my suggestion in the comment above. An additional "scrollbar" would be a new functionality to scroll even quicker, through even longer lists. These are not at all mutually exclusive, e.g. on Android you can find a "natural" scroll momentum and a scrollbar on the side, they go great together and each is useful in its own way.
