I just bought a Plantronics M165, paired it and everything was fine - I was able to change the volume on the device while playing music or during a call. In the second attempt, I had no more control, the device showes Mute and the headset cracked loud on playback for like 750ms then reduced the volume to a still insane level. I will check with the manufacturer as well as it seems that the Jolla set something on the headset that made its base volume insanely high and I could not reduce it with my android tablet to a level that is good. Turning all devices off and reattached the Jolla after a reboot and I have controls back - I will further test this when I have time. It might be not a Sailfish issue at all. I can test with 3 devices but only 2 can be paired at the same time.

something similar happens to me (volume can be increased and decreased from headset sporadically)

@c.la I cannot alter the volume from the headset at all. But the headset has internal regulation if it does not have control over a paired device.
