SVG Graphics: Can the broswer display or is an app needed

I use SVG graphics a lot in my job and would like to be able to preview them on my Jolla handset. However there does not appear to be this capability. On my desktop I use Chrome to view them, and was wondering if the Broswer in jolla as based on a modern webkit would be able to view SVG.

Currently if i download an SVG via email it appears in the download folder and when I try to open it I am informed there is no suitable application.

Any ideas how I could ask the handset to try to display the file using the web browser

Both Jolla's own browser and Webcat seem to open .svg's, but they both have some bug that causes the image to turn black and only show the outlines. If that bug would be fixed, at least Jolla's own browser can show the files in your phone using the file:/// address.

I've tested it with several files (inkscape and idraw(ios)) in Jolla's Browser and all were shown fine. I guess, the Browser is in trouble if svg's are too complex...

I just tested quickly with the first svg file I could find and sometimes at beginning it might show up correctly and after that change into black. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Orc.svg (edit) might have been just bad luck on the file I chose, the same bug seems to exist in my desktop Firefox aswell.

Note there are bugs with simple animated SVG too : you have to zoom to see them going until the end.
