Bitcoin wallet app.

Well here is a native bitcoin wallet by Benoît Hervier called BitPurse under development and looking for a little funding. I used it on the N9 and it was very good. Lets show we appreciate his work.

There's 2 hours left, and he has 18€. We should be able to do better. After all, we are smarter than average people :-p

As far as I can understand, nobody has actually successfully gotten this thing up and running on jolla, even though the README states it should work on SailfishOS. "BitPurse submitted to Jolla Harbour?" is a closed issue, closed due to lack of interesst. I've started looking into it at https://github.com/tobixen/BitPurse - though, not sure if I can manage to pull this off on my own, never did any projects with neither Qt nor SailfishOS before.

This is not an answer to your question but it could help you as a temporary solution. I'm actively using Android wallet Mycelium. It works very well including QR code scanning via camera - it has integrated QR code decoder so no need for external Android software as with other wallets.

Why not porting a native Electrum client? It's already available as Debian package.

Because someone has to work on it and this is the main reason we don't have a bitcoin wallet app for SFOS. :P

AFAIK electrum runs with Python2 and Qt4. To get a harbour-approved Sailfish app the backend must be ported to Python3 and the gui must be implemented in QML and PyOtherSide. I'm sure this is possible, but as @ApB pointed out, someone has to work on it :).

you can use a webwallet in the browser. In my opinion sfos isn't big enough to maintain a secure btc wallet, but if there is a dev interested, I would prefer a fork of electrum.

BTW: Blockfolio works great with aliendalvik, altough its no wallet.
