I have just connected my SD with adapter to my pc (in Win7) i formatted sd to FAT32. I copied in some files and inserted to my Jolla. All files is red! Fine Now I take out my SD and reconnect to PC with adapter, I copy others files but when I re-insert to device the files just copied are disappeared! This happened others times... So if you copy files from pc to sd and insert sd in jolla the files disappear!

Did you wait for the sync on win before you remove the card from your computer?

This behaviour may be caused by a faked sd card so its possible that you purchased a faked sd card.

@masmrlar obviously! It's samsung original SD. I have no problem with this if I format it and never use in device. The problem exists after use in device.. so I don't know

@michdeskunk The original Samsung SD cards are made in Korea so if your card was made in Taiwan it's a faked card. Are you also able to use the full space (58GB)?

@michdeskunk Well its not obvious that you waitet for the sync as you don't describe that. Buf in fact - the hints that you've got a fake cart really fit to what you describe. And successful fomatting says nothing about the cart - the os is just capable to write the allocation table. Check the anwers and the hints on checking if your card is fake.

No, Jolla wont break your SD.

@michdeskunk which kinda card do you have? If it's large and bought cheap from ebay, BEWARE. Lot's of fake cards there. I bought 64gb and with this program:

http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2008/09/02/h2testw-14-gold-standard-in-detecting-usb-counterfeit-drives/

I was able to find out that the card was actually only ~8gb....

I don't think. I have bought on ebay at less than 20euro but is samsung SD card, I have original box

michdeskunk ( 2014-04-16 12:25:01 +0200 )edit

Well. That doesn't actually mean a thing what the box says. Try it with the program mentioned to find out if the capacity is what it should be.

You may want to:
- Try a different card as the one you mention may be faulty.
- Make sure that before you insert/remove the card the phone (and PC) are ok with it. I am a Linux guy, so I always issue umount and don't hope that the system does that for me.

the problem appear when I use SD on PC. I copy a file with PC in SD, later in the phone file disappears, then I reconnect sd to PC and file is really disappears... so I dont know I have used linux too so I know mount/unmount system
