Some apps don't see the working internet connection since update 5. Other android apps work well, SailfishOS apps all work well. All those android apps worked well in update 4 and older.

If you're having problems with internet connection when on a wifi network, installing a wifi manager on alien dalvik should enable you to turn on dalvik's wifi connection. At least that was the problem I encountered. Dalvik had wifi connection disabled for some reason.
The problem with mobile data connection might be similar. I haven't had that problem, but using an app like smart quick settings might help (works on the wifi problem as well). It shows you whether the connections are enabled or not.
yeah, would have loved to know this yesterday :-/ I also removed aliendalvik and reinstalled (about a dozen times, until I got the timing just right to turn on airplane mode then start it, so that the UI is in English rather than German…), and I can confirm that this fixed it. Unfortunately I missed a directory in my backup, and lost all my sleep data since the day this bug appeared :-( ah well. Happy now!
