I neither got sound notification nor LED notification, only the notification center shows new messages - would love to see notifications for Android Apps/Threema

So the answer is pretty simple Threema is not listed as a chat app you can add it, after that you receive notifications like system ones.

You can download the app "android notifications" via warehouse shop on

openrepos

this worked fine until SFOS 1.1.7.27.

but with Version 1.1.9.28 it's not working well, as far as I experienced. There were some changes, which were described as

"•Android apps now use the "Chat" system tone for notifications, and alert with vibration and notification LED"

in the

release notes

But so far neither the app seems to work, nor 1.1.9.28.

Answering here because the thread-title seems more suitable:

For me the mentioned thread (https://together.jolla.com/question/109180/feature-request-add-missing-apps-to-the-chat-application-list/?answer=109214#post-id-109214) works for the sound/vibration notification, which is now functional.

Reposting the answer from @gehowa and @drummer12:

Gain root access via devel-su, then add the following lines to the file /usr/share/lipstick/androidnotificationproperties:

Threema;chat,chat_exists
package:ch.threema.app;chat,chat_exists

The downside: I still don't get LED notifications from threema in SF OS 2 with this.

Did anyone else experience this?

UPDATE, SOLVED: LED notification now works, as I have moved the two threema lines from the end of the file in between the other applications in the text file.

If you don't get LED-notifications with Threema, you have a spelling mistake in your edited File...

The line chat,chat_exists specifies the LED... maybe you can send a screenshot of you configuration-line in notificationpriorities

@drummer12 I thought so, too. Checked the lines several times. I can't upload images (low Karma), but the OCR of my screenshot says:

...

viber;chat,chat_exists

package:com.viber.voip;chat_exists

[empty line]

Threema;chat,chat_exists

package:ch.threema.app;chat,chat_exists

[empty line]

[end of file]

Update: It works, if the two Threema-lines are not the end of the text file, but somewhere in between the other software entries.

ok glad to hear! In my case the lines are at the end of the file without problems I don't have an empty line afterwards. Comments can't contain pictures otherwise I would upload my file ;)
