This is a generic account framework error. Does the settings retrieval(auto) work ? you see this error after settings retrieval or before ?

  • Do you see the credentials verification spinner ?
  • have you tried to disable provisioning ?

I'm seeing this as well. My server is SOGo, and same account works on outlook and android (both using activesync). More details: I DO see the credentials verification spinner, and after that I can configure activesync settings (what to sync etc, I turned off provisioning, because VDVsx suggested that above). Then after the finale "Save" -> "oops, account could not be added" Note: I'm using SOGo, I'm guessing others are using a 'real' exchange server?

For completeness, and probably too sogo-specific, however: there is what SOGo logs: "EXCEPTION: <nsexception: 0x7f48011d3520=""> NAME:NSInvalidArgumentException REASON:-[nil processProvision:inResponse:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance (null) INFO:(null)"</nsexception:>

@mouk - What about with provisioning on ? does it also produce some error ? by the lines above your server requires provisioning.

VDVsx ( 2014-05-28 08:21:58 +0200 )edit

Hi, same result. SOGo support said: "the Provision command is not advertised so it shouldn't be called by the Jolla client".

@mouk - Ok, so is a actual bug that we fixed already, fix is in next update, please leave the question open then we can check back once the release is public.

@VDVsx - I have tried now with latest firmware, and it works a bit better: I can actually add the account. (no more "oops this account could not be added") However, mails never come in. Just to confirm: yes, on other devices it DOES work (outlook2013, android) Is there anything in particular you'd like me to try/test/confirm/check?

Improved in Sailfish 1.0.7.16, Saapunki, account re-creation is needed, if you still have issues please comment here.

Unfortunately, it still does not work for me in 1.0.7.16.

@moosiqpipl - What account type ? can you describe your detailed steps and what errors/screens are shown ?

VDVsx ( 2014-06-15 18:17:30 +0200 )edit

@VDVsx - this is about M$ Exchange, I think ;-) Tried auto and manual account creation. The necessary account details are quite obvious: email address, login name, password, server address, port, and the options for secure connection and trusted certificates. The server communication seems to work as the page with the sync options (email, calendar, contacts etc.) shows up. But confirming the settings results in the above mentioned error notification. I am using Zarafa.

@moosiqpipl - just that error ? nothing about server policies ? the step you describe is where the server policies are checked to see if the device match the server requirements.

VDVsx ( 2014-06-16 08:53:35 +0200 )edit

@VDVsx - I'm afraid not. Just the notification as described in the title of the issue.
