Events in disabled Exchange calendar still give alarms [duplicate]

I have an Exchange account on my Jolla. I have disabled the associated calendar in Calendar > Manage calendars, so that the events in the Exchange calendar don’t show in my calendar.

Funny thing is, I still get calendar alarms for events in the Exchange calendar!

The Exchange calendar contains a couple of weekly repeating events, and my Jolla regularly reminds me of them. Other than them the calendar is empty, so I don't know if this occurs only for repeating events or all events.

OS version 1.0.5.19.

Edit: I have also disable calendar sync in the Exchange account settings. This doesn't help; the Exchange calendar still shows in Calendar > Manage calendars, and though it's disabled there, I still get alarms.

I had the same problem. Solution: delete the Exchange Account in the sql3 database on your device. Good look.

Thanks for your answer. However, I don't want to get rid of the Exchange account, because I'm using the email; I just want to disable the calendar part.

I just realised that I can disable calendar syncing in Settings > Accounts – how come I didn't think of that before? I hope that removes the unwanted alarms.

Still, intuitively I'd expect that hiding the calendar in Calendar > Manage calendars also disables the alarms, but it seems that setting only affects visibility in the Calendar app. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature that could be more user-friendly and intuitive...
