Locking the device right away without waiting for the lock time [released]
Apparently there is no way to lock the device when wanted, so that it's required to enter the lock code to open the device. There should be e.g. a lock command in the lock screen menu (if the lock code is set in the settings).
There are times when I just want to lock the device right away without waiting for the lock time to get the device locked.
Edit: Alternative/additional ways for immediate locking (there are already a number of other requests for the pulley menu):
- Lock command in pulley menu of lock screen.
- Pinch close on lock screen.
- Double-pressing the On/Off button
- Double swipe from top (on lock screen only or any screen)
- ...
Except for the menu entry, there should be a visual response by the handset showing that indeed the device is locked (e.g. the unlock-keypad being shown briefly).
EDIT (13-04-15): Double tap power button to instantly lock feature was released at some point, closing question as such.
Two finger swipe down to lock?

In short: Swipe down to standby + pull right to passcode lock -combo.
