Hi there,

We potentially have a graphical way to manage remotely our Jolla but it lacks just a few steps... in order to be usable for us:

There is a working VNC server for the Jolla phone, which could be used for that purpose: https://github.com/mer-qa/mervncserver (you also need https://github.com/mer-qa/libvncserver)

It's by far not ready for end users and just the source code,

Can someone point any resource in order to use that? Thanks a lot!

Please vote here if you want a formal-instalable-end_user app for that!

Update: EDIT: 21. Oct 2014 Developer wrote some readme files on how to compile it in the Sailfish OS SDK, He hopes it helps.

Why VNC, not NoMachine NX client?

I didn't know it! But I've taken a ride reading staff... and it looks awesome :-)

It's an interesting solution but keep in mind that VNC server is already implemented on Mer/Sailfish so we'd just need a really small step ahead in order to... so... ;-)

@aarengu Can NoMachine work with Wayland ? I had the impression it is based on/integrated with the x server quite tightly.
