4g battery consumption
I just upgraded my contract to 4g because of todays update (Saapunki). The upgrade will take place after midnight, but I would like to hear how has 4g affected battery life for others. Any benchmarks?

Tested 4G standby today (fuzzy). Switched WLAN , Data and Bluetooth off and closed all Apps. Had 100% at 8:30 this morning and have 94% now at 22:30. (I showed it to an iPhone user today and he started crying :D ).
No, 4G didn't drain the battery in my case.

SergeiStPete ( 2014-06-10 17:01:57 +0200 )editActually it feels better. Fuzzy testing it myself. Last charge 3 days ago. Have talked a bit, surfed for a few infos, all 4G, took around 200 pics and 10 min. video, synchronized over WLAN (rsync) a few hundreds files, installed a couple of new apps and played around, and I still have 26% battery. Great!
tomtom ( 2014-06-15 18:58:48 +0200 )editI've some battery drain problem since Saapunki. I had already switched to 4G enabled subscription slightly before it came out, and started getting higher battery usage after Saapunki upgrade when the phone also started using the 4G. But reading tomtom's comment, it sounds like my problem is hopefully/maybe not related to 4G but some other new problem.
Mirv ( 2014-06-16 14:34:58 +0200 )editThere are a lot of comments about high CPU usage and battery drain since Saapunki. Just search and you will probably find some suggestions to try. I can just confirm that battery consumption with 4G isn't an issue with Sunrise in Switzerland. I'm in devel-su mode. I have currently around 12 apps loaded, WIFI, data and bluetooth activated, brightness is around 90%, I have made around 20 images, a few phone calls and some Sailserver image transfer. Jolla was fully charged this morning 8:30. It's 17:00 and I have still 89% of battery capacity. The phone is absolutely cold. If anybody want's more info like the ps -ef or top output, please ask.
