New device does not work

I'm really sad about the following thing: Today I got my Jolla phone. First thing I wanted to do is the update to the newest version. After that I found anonther site https://together.jolla.com/question/3816/jolla-store-crashes-unable-to-update-system/ so I enabled developer mode, fill in the two lines and ended it. After that nothing worked! If I started an app it automatically got killed. I tried to restart the phone, but it went in sleep mode. If i weak up it shows the lockscreen but then it gets black again and nothin really happens. I can pull down the pully menu, but if I select settings menu, it goes to sleep again. So really nothing works with the phone.
Please help me out. Du I have to send the phone back?
My computer knowledge is limited, so I really try hard to follow your hints, but please be so kind to explain in detail, because english is not my mother tongue
Version of Jolla Sailfish OS 1.0.2.5 (pre installed) Nothing added with the shop OS on Computer: Windows 7
