[Feature request] If you could stop treating me like I'm retarded after each system update that would be great [not relevant]
Seriously...
After each one of the previous updates, whenever I would open a Jolla app, usually e-mail, maps, ... I would have to go through "Swipe left to do something, now swipe right to do something else"... I'd be amazed to find a person that after several months of using the phone, and about 20 minutes of downloading and updating it, they actually forgot that you can swipe around.
Now after last update, I opened Peoples app just to get asked if I want to import contacts from accounts that I have already imported contacts from. Importing accounts from gmail/facebook isn't something new, it was implemented from the start, meaning, if I wanted to import them, I would have already imported them by now, and in case I already did import them, all I would get is redundant contact information.
Didn't happen here!
J4ZZ ( 2014-06-10 23:44:54 +0200 )editAlso not seen either of these (the tutorial-like swipe stuff nor the import contacts). Random thought, I wonder if you've run out of allocatable disk space (if you have developer mode enabled, what does 'btrfs fi show' say when run as root?
steph ( 2014-06-10 23:52:13 +0200 )editThis happened once to me after a system update, but not this time. I wonder what causes it.
nthn ( 2014-06-11 00:06:01 +0200 )editNot everyone has had their Jolla for several months, there are newcomers as well :) Those tutorials are useful, if the whole Sailfish experience is new to you. To longer- term users like us they may seem unnecessary, but they are easily dismissed, so they shouldn't be that big a problem.
Kayakist ( 2014-06-11 00:24:50 +0200 )editThis is intended for the first application use. Nothing personal, I guess ;) It is shown only once for each view and is based on feedback from users. If those hints are shown for the same view after each update it can be a bug.
