The font in the Launcher (the screen from which you select to run applications) seems like .. it was not antialized (looking at the texts under all the application icons, Media Player, Maps, etc.).

Is there an option to get the text nicer? Is it antialized? Maybe the font is the problem too..

Menu font throughout the UI does not look good to me as well. Text lacks sharpness and readability. Improvement in that respect will be appreciated.

Sorry, what's application menu in Jolla?

I think it is reasonable to conclude that the font was selected with a higher resolution display in mind (almost certainly genuine HD) - and then cost issues (presumably) resulted in a QHD display being selected instead

@jjaone the application menu for me in this case is the thing where i select an application to launch .. so the application launcher.

@STiAT According to Jolla Guide and this How-to the name of the UI element you are refering to is (as you said in your comment too) Launcher screen, so I edited the question title accordingly. https://together.jolla.com/question/5465/how-to-name-jolla-ui-screens-gestures-and-components/
