Hello,

I have enabled developer mode and I can ping my jolla over wifi (most of the time). However, I cannot connect through SSH on that very same IP and with port 22. All I get is a connection refused.

Please advise. Thanks,

Did you reboot after enabling developer mode? Sounds like you didn't and it is needed to start to ssh server atm,

I reset the phone, reinstalled all updates and tried it again. -> No success.

Then I reset the phone again. This time I did not install the updates, but enabled dev mode first. After making sure I could SSH into my phone, I installed the first set of updates. SSH still worked after that so I went ahead and installed all updates. SSH remained working.

It seems to me that there is an error with the dev mode and/or SSH when installing all updates first, before ever enabling dev mode.

Furthermore, previously I was not able to get the play store to work on my jolla. The .apk just wouldn't install. However, now that I got SSH to work I was also able to install the play store.

My guess is, that something is really bugged if dev mode is enabled for the first time just AFTER having installed all updates.

How do I file a bug report?

I just stumbled into the same issue and almost got grey hair, getting connection refused all the time.

This is how I fixed it:

  1. Enable Developer mode and SSH. Don't forget to set a password.
  2. Reboot the device.
  3. Connect USB and choose developer mode.

In this exact order. Now I'm able to use SSH again.
