[BUG] No sound in android app (waze) when paired with car kit

Hey Sailors,
when my Jolla is paired with the carkit via bluetooth, my navigation apps (Waze, Google Maps) have no sound at all.
I tried different app settings with different phone settings, but nothing solved my problem, when the Jolla is paired android apps have no sound.
Any ideas?
Don't know about navigation apps but sound works fine with car kit with the Deezer android app.
Neo ( 2014-06-28 15:57:43 +0300 )editMaybe the problem lies in the protocols. My carkit is older and only supports the HFP protocol. Music, like the Deezer App, uses the A2DP protocol. Maybe the android apps like waze are not using the HFP protocol, but I dont know how to check this.
Bragi ( 2014-06-30 11:52:15 +0300 )editWell, it seems that my problem is the protocol. Most Android apps are using the A2DP protocol for the sound if paired with bluetooth.Only if Media is disabled in the phones bluetooth settings, the phone uses the HFP protocol.
Due to the fact, that my carkit only has HFP and I can't disable the A2DP protocol for Android, i won't have sound over bluetooth when using a naviagation app. The speaker of the Jolla is unfortunately too low while driving.
Android suckz, I want a native turn by turn navigation app.
Bragi ( 2014-07-08 11:32:44 +0300 )editI have the same experience. But I'm not sure if this is a problem Jolla's Android Apps specifically. All applications on various mobile phones will be muted in my car when paired BT for the call.
