Spec:Nexus 4, 4.4.3, Axxionkat Rom, 260dip
After usage for two days, with comparison to previews on jolla online and Sailfish OS I installed on Nexus 4,
here are several things I discovered, but may be duplicated with those submitted before me.
P.S. My English is not that good, my apologies for that

Performance side:
-After a side swipe in apps, take abt a second to wait for the animation to be completed before continuing to use
-The above situation happens also when I tap the running apps from the homescreen
-Generally slower in reaction than expected, but still smooth when browsing
-Top swipe from the top screen is laggy and the vibration is too strong to me
-Side swipe to ambience is a little(really little) bit not smooth without a full swipe from side to side

Bugs, Crashes, Problems:
-Side swipes in apps sometimes only work in one side (several times)
-Not sure why the apps are not sorted in alphabetical order
-The screencapture of the running apps is low in resolution
image description
-Few display glitches in text I encountered yesterday (particularly at 70%)
image description
-Display glitches in the icons for certain apps (PVStar for my case)
image description

Problems I found using Switchr
-Switchr's link from Google Play: link text
-When I open apps via Switchr, then side swipe back home, sometimes the Launcher just crashed and stopped, sometimes it returns to home and automatically swipe to the right to the ambience page
-When I open apps via Switchr on another app, and side swipe returning home, the app opened by Switchr is not shown in the running apps page

Suggestions
-Icon size adjustment (suggested by aironeousb below)
-Sort icons alphabectically (suggested by aironeousb below)
-Change app icons style (suggested by aironeousb below)
-Edit items in the quick pulldown menu at the homescreen (suggested by aironeousb below)
-Add a notification page as Sailfish OS originally has
-Allow creation of users' own ambiences(color theme, wallpaper etc.)

I will see if there are further issues found. Hope the information helps.

Also I think it has become Android launcher 101 to have a "launcher settings" with you're launcher. You can put it in the pull down menu. Some suggestions for settings would be, change app icon size (I would like smaller ones so I don't have to do so much scrolling) , change app icons style (randomize) , sort alphabetically, put some quick items in the pull down menu like WiFi, flashlight , etc.

@aironeousb I also have the same thoughts on your suggestion, as I am using 260dpi, everything looks small.
As Jolla Launcher already has the permission to access notification, a notification page can also be added when side swiping from the homepage like the original jolla does. It will enhance user experience and make everything more convenient as the status bar is hidden as default and more actions are needed to access the notification swiping from bottom

The thing is this Alpha launcher removes some of the functionality of android and doesn't give us the Sailfish OS parts that would replace those missing Android parts, like widgets. I need to toggle wifi, BT, and headphone jack (on HTC One it eventually wears out and doesn't see that a headset is plugged in). To solve this partially I installed an app called Notification Toggle which puts a bunch of toggles in the Android status bar pull down and lets you even add apps to it,

Here is an idea for the launcher for you to consider. In the pull down menu since you already have your finger on the screen holding it there you could have as the last item at the top that when it is triggered it splashes out 6 toggles and these can be set in the launcher settings (literally like drops of water keeping with your icon style) and then you can at that point move the screen left and right to select the toggle you wish.

The launcher has removed my contacts icon in the app grid. Now to get to contacts I have to go to phone. When I do this the back button that normally closes an app in this launcher does not do so, it minimizes it to home screen instead. I'm using the HTC ONE, 4.4.3

Latency issues with app transitions: This is because we have to hide the Android native animations. Try disabling window animation scale and transition animation scale from Android developer settings. You'll have to force stop and restart Jolla Launcher after this, as we don't yet detect changes in these settings.

Low-res screenshots: Unfortunately some devices just do this, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Side-swipes only working on one side: Is the working one always the left side? If it is, the problem could be related to orientation changes.

Can you provide a debug dump using the built-in icon (last page of launcher by default) after a crash?

Truly faster after disabling the animation! Feels great now.
Side swipe always work on the left but sometimes not working on the right. Currently I force the orientation at potrait always. I will test for other orientations later to see if this problem still occurs.
The debug dump's here: link text
Hope it is useful for you.

I don't have developer mode enabled on my phone. I'm not unlocking it until I have fully paid it off just because I'm honest like that. But thanks for the info. Seems we have a way to speed up the transitions a little bit.

@aironeousb You can enable developer's options by tapping "build number" in the "about phone" menu for 7 times to enable this, without need of rooting it as I remember!

Ok thanks, that worked.
