As the title says I am having a problem with android app installations. I've had my Jolla since January and it was working almost fine until deleted photos started to take over my Gallery and "overwrite" newer photos. I was advised to reset Jolla phone to the factory settings and so I did. Now I have fully updated the phone, installed Android support app from Jolla store but I simply cannot install mobile1 market nor aptoide. When I open settings -> transfers and try to tap the downloads they won't install. Yes I have the untrusted applications thing from settings on. What should I do? Before I had no problems installing those markets etc. and after system reset the phone is dead like a brick...

I just want to take a baseball bat and blast this piece of shit into next dimension tho I cannot afford a new phone...

Your last sentence makes you look very mature. Otherwise did you try to install Aptoide from the Store?

If you have developer mode enabled, what happens if you try to install the downloaded files using apkd-install?

In his defence, if you look at the questions he has asked on Jolla Together he seems to have had quite some bad luck with his Jolla. So the last sentence may not be completely not understandable...

I recently switched phones (yes, both of them were Jolla's :) ) and so I had too reset both of them and install all the updates again etc. and now I can't install android apps either. I haven't tried installing apps from one off the Android app stores since the reset, but at least installing .apk's doesn't seem to work (I tried with both apkd-install and the File Browser app from the Jolla Store). I have successfully installed an RPM though (Warehouse app :) ). But after reading this I think I'll just reset it again :(

EDIT: I reset my Jolla today and I can confirm that I can now install Android apps again :)

So after third factory settings reset I was able to download and install the stores and other applications. However this took approximately 5 hours and I was ready to shank the next garden gnome...
