I downloaded and installed an Android apk and installed it. When the latest update for that App came and I installed it, the App did not work anymore, so I decided to just uninstall it. I uninstalled it by long-press on the apps screen and pressing the x to uninstall. Jolla uninstalled it, and it disappeared from the view. However, the app keeps notifying me that "download of the latest_version.apk was not successful". After a few hours I have dozens of these notifications. How can I completely kill this app, I am fine with removing whatever data belonging to the app is left on the phone.

Android apps have to be uninstalled through the appstore you installed the apps. Longpressing on screen just removes the icon (link).

Hi wpeberg, and thanks for your answer. As I told in the text, I installed the downloaded apk, I did not use any app store. So I have no appstore to which to turn for this. I actually have not used any appstore, because I try to minimize the number of android apps on my phone.
