Reason for this request:

I could not upgrade to latest release(1.0.8.19) and I think this may confuse endusers... I tried twice via UI but it just rebooted without upgrade actually it stopped around 1% in install phase.

Then I tried the tip given here use CLI command version --dup and got the answer what actually failed:

Fatal error: Not enough space. Need 875.69 MiB, have 827.59 MiB.

I do think the UI should show an error so that non geek users knows what actually got wrong. Right now you may think it has upgraded if not look at the progressbar or the user may wonder why the upgrade did not succeed.

Good catch! @mike7b4 How's your phone working in overall with that amount of free storage?

Happened to me too. Jolla's device information (gui) reported about 10,5 GB / 13,7 GB usage. I understood, that with brtfs the concept of "free space" is not that well defined.

I tried to update several times before I made some more space and tried again successfully.
