Add external calendars via webcal protocol

On my past mobile devices (N900, iPhone) I was able to get a separate calendar inside calendar app which included all my Last.fm events; synchronized from time to time. What I did was just clicking on this dedicated link in the devices stock browser - as far as I can remember, all the rest has been done automatically by the OS.

If I do this on Jolla I'll get the "The adress wasn't understood" and "webcal is not a registred protocol." webcal://ws.audioscrobbler.com/1.0/user/USERNAME/events.ics

Is there a way to get this working?

If webcal is not registered as a protocol it won't work. You should probably change the title to something like "Add external calendars via webcal protocol"

Maybe. But I don't mind if this is not possible via browser. I just want to get my Last.fm events into Jolla calendar somehow. Maybe there is some other solution..?

I don't think the calendar app has support for external calendars at all atm, but it would be a nice improvement.

As a workaround you can use services like memotoo or outlook.com. Add the webcal calendar there and sync the service on the phone via exchange.

@flkncrst thanks, this is how I do it right now. There are some difficulties getting the updates, I need to push it manually and if I don't do that from time to time I just miss the gig. Anyways it would be very nice to get this..
