accounts are not working after upgrade
Hi sailors,
after upgrading to Sailfish 1.0.8.19 (Tahkalampi) I recognized that my CalDAV account (to memotoo) did not synchronized any more. I tried to reinstall the account - nothing. Then I restored the account part of the last backup but now I lost all(!) accounts. Next I tried to reinstall my email accounts but the answer was a "problem with account creation" message. And the CalDAV account could not be installed. I read that I should reset the phone. But before I lose all apps and their settings and the user data within the apps I would just ask: Is there not a possibility to clean up the account database? How to do this?
The fact that the restore from backup failed so drastically is a great cause for concern. Are you able to send me the backup file?
But to answer your question, yes you can manually clean up the accounts database:
devel-su rm -rf /home/nemo/.config/libaccounts-glib
devel-su rm -rf /home/nemo/.config/signond
devel-su reboot
Then once it has rebooted:devel-su version --dup
to ensure that the upgrade of the accounts-related packages worked correctly.After that, you should be able to add your accounts back to the device.
