When one exits an android app from it's own menu like Skype's sign out, or steam's exit the whole android layer closes down, id like it to stay open if i have other android apps running.

There is a logic about this. I vote yes.

Until Android apps appear as individual app covers I'm not sure how else this should be handled (ideally Android apps would be closed with a swipe down, just like any other app, though of course Android apps don't "exit" unless swiped away in the task switcher).

I've found that if you use a launcher - eg. GO Launcher EX, free version from Google Play Store - then when you restart the "Android layer" by tapping on the GO Launcher EX app, you'll find that all the Android apps are still running (including the app that you last exited, eg. Skype).

Don't worry, it has been said it will be fixed soon. Waiting for this, you have to use the app manager icon (2 squares) in bottom right for switching and killing just the one you want to. A bit annoying but it will change soon. ;)

But even the app manager restarts the application when you switch between them, doesn't it?
